Las Vegas is secretly one of the best couples' cities in America, provided you skip the parts built for bachelor parties. These are the things we'd actually do as a couple, grouped by mood, each one checked and each with a note on how to book it.

Dinners that feel like an occasion
For a view, book the Eiffel Tower Restaurant (window tables face the fountains) or Top of the World, which turns a full circle while you eat. For drama, the Mayfair Supper Club turns dinner into a performance, and Hugo's Cellar downtown hands every woman a rose at the door.

French fine dining on the 11th floor of the Paris hotel's tower, with window tables looking straight down on the Bellagio fountains. A dependable anniversary pick.
Tip: Ask for a window table when you book and time dinner for sunset.

The STRAT, 106th floor
Steak and seafood 800-plus feet up in a dining room that turns a full circle about every 80 minutes. The whole valley goes by during dinner.

The Mayfair Supper Club
Bellagio, Center Strip
A theatrical supper club facing the Bellagio fountains, with a 360-degree stage that rises and lowers during dinner. Performers move through the room as the courses arrive, so it is dinner and a show in one seat.
Tip: Book a table for the later seating on a Friday or Saturday if you want the room at full swing.

A romantic, below-street-level dining room from 1976 where every woman is handed a long-stemmed rose. Tableside service, steak and seafood, and a Wine Spectator-recognised list.

Cirque's "O" is the romantic classic. Penn & Teller is the smart couple's pick. If you both like it bawdy, Absinthe is the most fun you'll have in a tent. More in best shows for adults.

Bellagio, Center Strip
Cirque's water show: acrobats, divers and synchronized swimmers performing in, on and above a stage that turns into a pool. It runs about 90 minutes and is the classic first Vegas show for good reason.
Tip: Mid-section seats give the best view of the whole pool; the first rows can get splashed.

Rio Hotel & Casino
The longest-running headliners in Las Vegas history: clever magic with a sharp, sceptical sense of humour. Shows are usually Thursday to Sunday at 8 p.m.; the duo extended at the Rio for three more years in 2026.
Absinthe
Spiegeltent, Caesars Palace
Racy comedy, circus and burlesque in a small tent on the Caesars Palace plaza. Acts happen inches away, and the host's humour is very adult: great fun if you like bawdy, skip it if you don't.
Slow afternoons
Qua Baths & Spa has private couples' treatment studios and Roman baths to share. For sun, Venus at Caesars is an adults-only European-style pool with daybeds for two. Both beat an afternoon on the casino floor.

A large spa built around Roman baths of different temperatures, a laconium, a tea lounge and the Arctic Ice Room, where flakes fall from the ceiling. There are private rooms for couples' treatments.
Venus Pool Lounge
Garden of the Gods, Caesars Palace
The adults-only, European-style (topless-optional) pool inside Caesars' Garden of the Gods complex, with daybeds and cabanas. Weekend DJs, but calmer than the big day clubs.
Tip: Non-guests get in by booking a daybed or cabana; check the season before you plan around it.
Drinks where you can talk
The Laundry Room seats 16 and asks guests to speak quietly, which makes it perfect for two. Petrossian Bar has a pianist and chairs you can sink into; Ghost Donkey is tiny, fun and hidden behind an unmarked door. More ideas in nightlife without the club scene.

A 16-seat speakeasy hidden inside Commonwealth. House rules: speak quietly, no photos, no standing at the bar. Ideal for a couple who wants real conversation and superb drinks.
Tip: Reservations open two weeks ahead and go quickly.

Bellagio lobby, Center Strip
The Bellagio lobby bar under Dale Chihuly's glass ceiling, with pianists on a Steinway grand, caviar on the menu and afternoon tea earlier in the day. One of the few places on the Strip where you can actually talk.
Ghost Donkey
Block 16 food hall, The Cosmopolitan
A tiny mezcal and tequila bar behind an unmarked door with a donkey on it, inside the Cosmopolitan's food hall. It holds only a couple of dozen people, so it is intimate, fun and occasionally packed.
Tip: It opens late afternoon; arrive near opening for a seat.
Unexpectedly romantic
- The Neon Museum at night: an evening tour of glowing, rescued signs.
- The High Roller Happy Half Hour: an open-bar cabin 550 feet up, 21+ only.
- Red Rock Canyon at sunrise: back at the hotel before the pool opens (timed entry October to May).
- A fountain show from the Paris side of the boulevard, free, every 15 minutes after 8 p.m.
- Dinner at the Peppermill's Fireside Lounge: a fire pit in a pool of water, 1970s neon and a giant cocktail.

An outdoor boneyard of rescued Las Vegas signs, some restored and lit, others spotlit. Evening guided tours run after sunset and fill up; the stories are the best part.
Tip: Book a few days ahead and wear flat shoes for the gravel paths.
High Roller Happy Half Hour
The LINQ Promenade
One slow 30-minute turn of the observation wheel in a 21+ cabin with an open bar and a bartender on board. A light-hearted way to see the Strip lit up.
Tip: Book ahead for weekend evenings; walk-up prices are higher.
Red Rock Canyon
About 30 minutes west of the Strip
A 13-mile scenic loop through red sandstone and desert trails. From October 1 to May 31, entering the Scenic Drive between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. needs a timed reservation on Recreation.gov plus the vehicle fee.
Tip: Reservation slots open 30 days ahead at 7 a.m. Pacific.

A 1972 coffee shop and lounge with neon, mirrored ceilings and a fire pit sitting in a pool of water. Big breakfasts by day, oversized cocktails by the fire at night. Open 24 hours.
