Rusty Spur Saloon
7245 E Main St, Old Town
Scottsdale's first saloon, open since 1951 in a 1921 building, with live country, blues and rockabilly every afternoon and evening, seven days a week, and never a cover charge. It turned 75 in September 2026.
Tip: Go in the late afternoon for the day band and a seat near the stage.
The Nash
110 E Roosevelt St, Downtown Phoenix
A nonprofit jazz club named for Phoenix-born drummer Lewis Nash, with more than 300 performances a year, from touring artists to weekly jam sessions. The best jazz room in the valley.
Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West
12621 N Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd
Wright's winter home and studio in the McDowell foothills, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The 60 to 75-minute tour covers indoor and outdoor spaces; tickets are limited.

Craftsman Court, Old Town

How the valley fits together
- Old Town Scottsdale is walkable: galleries, the wine trail, the Rusty Spur, FnB and most rooftops.
- Camelback and Paradise Valley are 10 to 15 minutes away by car: the resort spas, elements, LON's and the Echo Canyon trail.
- North Scottsdale (Taliesin West, the Musical Instrument Museum, Talking Stick) is a 20 to 30-minute drive; plan it as a separate half-day.
- Downtown Phoenix has the jazz (The Nash) and the Heard Museum, about 25 minutes from Old Town.
