Nashville's Big Bash in 2026

New Year's Eve Live: Nashville's Big Bash returns to Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park on December 31, 2026. In April 2026 the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. announced a new multi-year deal with CBS to keep broadcasting the night from downtown, with streaming on Paramount+. It will be the 18th annual concert and the tenth at Bicentennial Park. The line-up, hosts and special guests are still to be announced. Last year's Bash drew 205,000 people, so expect a very big crowd.

What the night looked like last year

These are the 2025 arrangements from Visit Music City's event page; the 2026 details may change. The concert was free and open to the public, with gates at 5:30 p.m. A clear bag policy was in place, bags could be searched, large bags weren't allowed and lockers were available to rent. At midnight the Music Note, 16 feet tall and about 400 pounds, dropped from its tower, followed by a 90-second fireworks display from the tower 350 feet up and fireworks more than 500 feet over Capitol Hill. ADA viewing areas were off Sixth Avenue and on Jackson Street between Sixth and Seventh, with an ASL interpreter on a platform in the concert area.

A grown-up New Year's Eve instead

If standing in a crowd of 200,000 isn't your idea of a good night, book a table. Skull's Rainbow Room in Printers Alley is a 1948 supper club with live jazz every night; Husk serves Southern cooking in an 1880s mansion a few blocks from Broadway. For music in a room where people actually listen, the Station Inn (bluegrass) and the Bluebird Cafe (songwriters) are the classics, and The Patterson House is the cocktail bar to finish in. Ask each one about its New Year's Eve plans and prices; special menus and ticketed shows are announced closer to the date.

Our advice

  • Book your hotel now: downtown rooms go fast for New Year's Eve.
  • If you go to the Bash, carry only a small clear bag, arrive early and dress for a cold night outdoors.
  • Book New Year's Eve dinner or a show as soon as the venue posts it; the best tables sell out.
  • Check current hours, event dates and prices before you go.
